My new blog = easy money

Written on February 23, 2007

Money making blogUnfortunately, Ontora.com is not a big money maker. I didn’t even begin to monetize the blog until last month. However, I don’t mind if Ontora doesn’t make money. It’s just a place for me to write what’s on my mind. If Ontora happens to make money along the way, then all the better a testimonial to my ramblings.

My real interest of income is my newest blog based on Sony’s gaming gadget, the Sony PSP. The blog is almost four months old now and I’m already starting see the cash come in.

My PlayStation Portable blog, aka PSPGN, currently gets around 100 unique hits a day. Some haters will say that’s penny traffic. However, I am really satisfied with the traffic because I know that the only way to go from here is up. As more visitors come to the site, the more backlinks it will get. With links coming in from all directions, traffic will grow exponentially.

The earnings for PSPGN vary greatly from day to day. The blog makes anywhere between $1 and $3 on a typical day. One thing that I’m excited about is my click-through-rate is the highest I’ve ever achieved - about 2% - although the particular keywords are not very expensive.

The best part about the situation is that the blog is basically easy money from here on out. I put a lot of work into it during the first couple months. I could stop updating now though and I would continue to make money for a long time. Alas, I ask myself why I would want to slow down. So, I continue to update my PSP blog 3-4 times a day.

I’ll continue to refer to my PSP blog in the coming articles on Ontora, since it’s my prime example of effective SEO.
