The .com
Ontora was founded in December, 2005. The site was originally suppose to be a “how-to” guide for technology and design. The beta was a pleasant success, so I opened it up for the public. Design and online marketing became the main focus. Over time, the site has evolved into this quirky little think-tank for interface design.

The author
Who writes Ontora? The blog is written by Mark Spencer, a web enthusiast living in Portland, Oregon. I am currently a student and a product of the technology generation. I own a slew of other web communities, including the under-attended OpenPost. I am also an active contributer for open-source web applications including Lussumo Vanilla.
